Inspired by our success with rice crispy treats flecked with Chocolate Krak we went back to the test kitchen and Kraked up some caramel apples. They are delish!
Crush one bag of your favorite flavor of Chocolate Krak in a blender or food processor until very fine. Pour out on a plate.
Use one bag of your favorite caramels and follow the directions to caramelize your apples(we had giant apples on hand so were only able to dip 3) . Note: we could not find caramels that included sticks, so we used those little chopsticks you get with take out terriyaki.
As soon as the apples are dipped hold them over the plate of Krak crumbles and spoon some over the top of the apple . We tried rolling them, but the hot caramel peeled off the apple and stayed on the plate of crumbles.
Let cool for 5 minutes, then enjoy!
